Jaymee Somberg LCSW
Jaymee Somberg LCSW is licensed in New York and works with adults. She specializes in helping adults cope with anxiety, racing thoughts, stress, issues with relationships, family conflict, and feeling comfortably attached to others. Her approach involves exploring your inner world to identify the root of your struggles, gain clarity in your thinking, learn new skills to achieve better emotional regulation and experience self-empowerment. Her therapeutic style is rooted in the belief that people are intrinsically valued and deserving of fundamental human connection; to be seen, to be heard.
She also specializes in helping young adults resolve past trauma. Jaymee uses a trauma-informed approach with Progressive Counting Therapy (PCT) to ensure that clients feel safe and supported throughout the therapy process. PCT is a relatively new treatment approach that has shown promising results in the treatment of trauma and PTSD.
Her work combines interventions from a variety of therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Psychodynamic, and Progressive Counting Trauma Therapy. Jaymee believes each client is unique and her treatment with you will be tailored to your goals, preferences, and desired outcomes for therapy.
